"Men cannot change if there are no blueprints for change. Men cannot love if they are not taught the art of loving. Love is vital to maleness, to the spiritual and emotional wholeness men seek."
― Bell Hooks
Human connection is the catalyst needed to explore any underlining psychic distress. In my psychotherapy practice, I prioritize fostering a collaborative relationship in order to provide emotional and personal safety. This allows you to dive beneath the surface to better understand the underlying causes of your personal distress. The goal, through exploration, is to create opportunities in becoming more self-aware of your own thoughts & feelings and empower you to generate new ways of connecting; with yourself and loved ones.
Diversity is at the heart of my practice, welcoming individuals of all gender identity, sexual orientation, and cultural backgrounds. My commitment to anti-oppression helps produce a safe space where you can openly share your lived experiences. My style is a combination of warmth, curiosity and authenticity. A pleasant blend to help you feel comfortable in opening up.

The Work
My work as a therapist is centered on helping you facilitate meaningful changes. I see our time together as an opportunity to reconnect with yourself and strive towards the life you want to create.
I believe therapy works best when it can meet you precisely where you are. I take an integrative approach which considers how you think about things, feel about things, and ultimately what you envision meaningful in life. I see myself as a collaborator in developing goals and determining the direction. I see you as the expert in your experience and the director in the pacing. We join together to explore the more tender aspects of your experience.

The Work:
We are complex and layered beings and deserve to be seen as such. As a therapist, my aim is to provide a safe space which will help you explore and grow without judgment. I use a social justice lens in my practice to recognize how cultural identity and oppression influence our world views and ultimately, our sense of self. By meeting my clients where they are at, I can better support and empower them to break through barriers that are keeping them from living their fulfilled and authentic lives.

The foundation of our work together centers on a feminist and liberative perspective, acknowledging the weight, need, and impact of relationships. Your story matters. The personal decisions you have had to make with your cultural roots matter. Your inherent sense of creativity also matters, even if it has gone unnoticed thus far.
In our work together, we will explore new ways of relating to ourselves while also addressing the concerns that bring here. Ultimately, the goal is to develop an engaging way of relating that is in sync with you.
Identifying such experiences can foster an enlightened correction of growth which can be the catalyst in the development of healthier and more satisfying relationships.
I’m fortunate enough to work with people who are seeking an understanding on how to improve their lives. Together we will explore how, and where, certain thoughts or behaviors arise. With subtle and purposeful shifts in perspective we can make the change to empower you to the person you can be in this world.
If you wish to speak further, please contact me below for a free 20-minute consultation.

My therapeutic practice emphasizes support for traditionally disenfranchised communities and recognizes the unique challenges experienced by diverse peoples. I believe that one of the inherent components to all human experience is the societal oppression all around us. To combat this, I focus on integrating anti-oppression and social justice concepts into my client relationships. I enjoy interacting with my clients from a place of warmth, kindness, openness, and authenticity. In so doing, I hope to give you the insight and conviction that you are the author of your own story.
Healing doesn't happen overnight. My plan is to create a collaborative environment which will bring openness and understanding with the ultimate goal in becoming more self-aware on your journey. My hope is that our work together will pave the way for becoming your most genuine self.

The Work
My approach with clients is grounded in cultural compassion. From here we can better understand what challenges or imbalances adversely impact your interpersonal and/or intra-personal relationships.
When we operate from a place of untruth, our mental system can often send misleading messages which can unfortunately lead to a pattern of poor decision making. Sometimes, even the most benign messaging we receive, from individuals or society, can inadvertently leave us feeling exhausted, frustrated or even broken. We store this energy within us and let it bleed out with the people we love.

The Work
Real interpersonal connection is necessary to get to the root of our distressing thoughts and feelings. I approach therapy by creating a collaborative therapeutic relationship in which my clients can feel assured of their emotional and personal safety. I do not believe that the therapist is a prescriptive expert who guides the client through therapy; rather, I believe that the client is the expert in their own experience and emotions. My role is one of facilitating self-discovery by creating a nonjudgmental environment in which clients can delve fully into any issues at hand. The end goal is to help you become a more self-aware, self-actualized individual with the tools to forge truer stronger connections.
